📍 Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary is in Chengalpattu district, Tamil Nadu (just 75 km from Chennai!).

🌿 It covers 74 acres and is one of the **smallest** but oldest sanctuaries in India!

📜 History

The name "Vedanthangal" means “hamlet of the hunter.”

Locals protected it since 1700s! 🐦 Officially a sanctuary from **1936**!
